Micha Boot Review

In May, I did an Alloy.com budget hall that included these boots. Known as the Micha Boot, I bought them for $59.90 and wanted to share my review of them with you.

What I love about them: These boots look great in person. I've received a ton of compliments on them. I was worried they wouldn't work with my wardrobe and style, but they look great with almost anything whether that be a summer dress, or denim, they just work. The crotched top helps to keep my legs cool on hot days. I was surprised by the quality of the boots. They also make for cute rainboots if it's not pouring heavily.

What I didn't love about them: These boots are easy to walk in and comfortable for the most part; however, my ankle bone was rubbing against the inside which made it a little uncomfortable. They feel better with socks on. Another thing to keep in mind is these boots are a size bigger. I usually buy a nine when buying boots but decided to go with an 8.5 based on reviews. The 8.5 is a good fit, but I may have been able to get away with an 8. I recommend going half a size or a size down from what you normally wear.

Flaws aside, I love these boots. They are very cute and perfect for summer.

So cute but too tight

Not long ago, I bought a pair of kitten heel shoes from Alieexpress.com. I loved them the second I saw them, but my feet didn't. They are a little too tight. Sadly, I have to give them away. I wish they would have worked out because they easily go with everything. They would have been comfy, if not for the size and they are so easy to walk in. They have a cute little heart on them to add to the shoes personality. That's the chance one takes when buying online, but I do recommend them for those with shoe sizes smaller than 8.5.

Nail polish Haul/Review From GOSH

I finally got around to trying some GOSH cosmetics thanks to a promotion courtesy of Shopper's Drugmart. The deal was if you buy $25 worth of GOSH products, you got free mascara. I opted for nail polish. Below is a review of the haul.

Asos makes me wish it was summer

The beauty of end of season sales are the great deals, but the down side is waiting through all those month to wear the items. I recently got an adorable peplum playsuit from asos.com that makes me wish I was in warmer climates. I don't usually like the peplum style, but this one was so cute I could not resit.
In addition the skirt, I also got a horse chess piece ring. This at least I can wear throughout the year. Both were a great price. The ring is heavier than I expected and the playsuit is quite short, so I'll have to wear it perhaps a bit closer to home. To Canadian shoppers, asos.com does charge custom fees at the door so beware.

Some budget friendly items

Over the past couple months, I've collected some cute, fun, and cherishable items...all within a good price range.

The fox mask comes from Urban Outfitters and the main reason for the purchase is so I can take "interesting" outfit photos. It wasn't a Halloween purchase, though the mask would work great for a costume. It was 10.50 and though the price is low and it is a fun accessory IT IS VERY CHEAPLY MADE. It came cracked out of the package. It is hard to see out of the eye holes and it's a bit itchy. I don't hate it. But I wouldn't be quick to recommend it.

Art reader glasses: these also came from Urban Outfitters and they are tre chic. At first I felt like a complete geek in them, but they grew on me and are fun way to switch up your look. They are easy to see out of and for a little over 4 dollars they are great for a budget seeker.

Forever Elizabeth is my new favorite perfume. The scent...the take me away to an old Hollywood film as a lead actress scent. Dreamy. I am smitten by it. It is mild but lasts, works for day and night (though it is recommended for casual wear), and comes in a beautiful bottle. I am not fragrance fanatic. I usually turn away from perfumes, but this one has made me lover of perfumes once again. I feel it embodies Elizabeth Taylor and all the sophistication and Hollywood glamor that represents her. You can find it for less at frangrancex.com.

The next items come from Alloy.com. If you have narrow feet like me, I recommend the mika pink ballet flats. They are so comfortable and only $9.99! Alloy.com has some great inexpensive accessories like the liesel tiered necklace in the picture which was only 4.99. And finally, a last minuet add on, because I want to start adding more graphic tees to my wardrobe, was my Go Bay side tee, for only 7 dollars. The one shown in the photo is an extra small and it still feels loose, which I like.

Shoppers gives me something to look forward to

The winds are already getting cooler; the mind is preaparing for the long school year ahead; and summer feels like it's fading. All this can seem rather depressing. But August gives me something to get excited about: the shoppers drugmart teenpack. Every year I look forward to seeing what shoppers will include in the $9.99 pack. The price has yet to change and the products are still full size! Check what they added this year by viewing the video below.

May 24 Moments of my day

In all honesty, I'm not in the mood to be crafty with my words. But all in all it was a good day. I had lunch with a friend. I ordered the fresh fruit waffle at Cora's, which was tasty but the highlight of my day was when I got a $34 mascara kit for only $5.70!!! I love deals and this one just blew my mind. The deal was a result of store points I had acculated. Apparently, my points added up to $60 dollars. However, I how I had to pay something for the item so I ended up getting $30 off, leaving me with only $5.70 after tax!!! Best bargain of the month!

On a side note: I also treated myself to some cheese cake, last week. It was good :)
