Nail polish Haul/Review From GOSH
I finally got around to trying some GOSH cosmetics thanks to a promotion courtesy of Shopper's Drugmart. The deal was if you buy $25 worth of GOSH products, you got free mascara. I opted for nail polish. Below is a review of the haul.

Asos makes me wish it was summer
The beauty of end of season sales are the great deals, but the down side is waiting through all those month to wear the items. I recently got an adorable peplum playsuit from asos.com that makes me wish I was in warmer climates. I don't usually like the peplum style, but this one was so cute I could not resit.
In addition the skirt, I also got a horse chess piece ring. This at least I can wear throughout the year. Both were a great price. The ring is heavier than I expected and the playsuit is quite short, so I'll have to wear it perhaps a bit closer to home. To Canadian shoppers, asos.com does charge custom fees at the door so beware.

Some budget friendly items
Over the past couple months, I've collected some cute, fun, and cherishable items...all within a good price range.
The fox mask comes from Urban Outfitters and the main reason for the purchase is so I can take "interesting" outfit photos. It wasn't a Halloween purchase, though the mask would work great for a costume. It was 10.50 and though the price is low and it is a fun accessory IT IS VERY CHEAPLY MADE. It came cracked out of the package. It is hard to see out of the eye holes and it's a bit itchy. I don't hate it. But I wouldn't be quick to recommend it.
Art reader glasses: these also came from Urban Outfitters and they are tre chic. At first I felt like a complete geek in them, but they grew on me and are fun way to switch up your look. They are easy to see out of and for a little over 4 dollars they are great for a budget seeker.
Forever Elizabeth is my new favorite perfume. The scent...the take me away to an old Hollywood film as a lead actress scent. Dreamy. I am smitten by it. It is mild but lasts, works for day and night (though it is recommended for casual wear), and comes in a beautiful bottle. I am not fragrance fanatic. I usually turn away from perfumes, but this one has made me lover of perfumes once again. I feel it embodies Elizabeth Taylor and all the sophistication and Hollywood glamor that represents her. You can find it for less at frangrancex.com.
The next items come from Alloy.com. If you have narrow feet like me, I recommend the mika pink ballet flats. They are so comfortable and only $9.99! Alloy.com has some great inexpensive accessories like the liesel tiered necklace in the picture which was only 4.99. And finally, a last minuet add on, because I want to start adding more graphic tees to my wardrobe, was my Go Bay side tee, for only 7 dollars. The one shown in the photo is an extra small and it still feels loose, which I like.

Super Kawaii Haul! These items are too cute to handle
I love kawaii cute items, so I was so excited when my bestie got me all this cute stuff while on vacation! Thank You!!! In this kawaii haul are candies, stationary, bath stuff and beauty items. I won't show everything, but I will show a few of my favorite items that put an instant smile on my face ^.^
This is perhaps my favorite item (though I love them all). It's a notebook, but it is so cute and so me. The girls are adorable and I love how it's called "Happy Girl" It even has this super cute fashion game inside where you can dress up each girl character in different outfits. It's so perfectly cute, I can't handle it and something I would have picked for myself!
These candies were so good! They are hard candies that taste like pop. They even fizz in your mouth! I love the packaging. The big bold colorful letters definitely get my attention and goes with the whole "happiness" theme.
I have not used this product yet, but it is a bathbomb with a secret inside! I cannot wait to try it out and see what's inside and what it smells like. But the packaging alone makes me so happy. I mean it's called happy dolphin. How can you not smile!
This was such a wonderful surprise and you are a sweetheart for getting me all these lovely kawaii cute items!

Alloy.com haul and review
Buying shoes online is always nerve racking for me, but when they come at such an affordable price it's hard to not take the risk. I recently discovered Alloy.com, a retail website that sells both women's and men's apparel. The clothes don't really do it for me, but the shoes are cute. When on sale, you can find some nice items for very reasonable prices. I took the plunge and bought 2 pairs of shoes: some lace black flats and some black platform heels. I figured since it was my first time purchasing from there I would not do a crazy shopping spree.
The Good:
Alloy.com has well priced items. Both my shoes came up to 21.23 before shipping. I'd be thrilled to get one shoe for that on sale! Even before sale prices, Alloy.com's items are reasonable. They also do frequent promos allowing you to get even more off.
Shipping did not take long. In Canada, everything takes forever to arrive. 10 days for an item to ship is considered fast. Alloy did not give me a tracking number, but the estimated date was correct.
The items are nice. While they are not the best quality, they are fine for the price. They are comfortable and they look cute with outfits. The heels have a rubber grip which makes it easier to walk in and the flats are nicely padded.
The bad:
The biggest complaint I have is the shipping prices for international countries. If you are in the States shipping is not outrageous and they often have promos for free shipping. Sadly, these promos do not apply to locations outside the U.S.A and the price of shipping is steep. For my two items shipping was 21.95. That's more than what I paid for my merchandise! I would highly suggest doing a bulk or group buy in order to make the shipping worth it.
Overall: For their ease of shopping and great prices I will definitely shop there again and would recommend it to others. In the future, I'll purchase a greater quantity of items so my shipping fees balance out with the item fees.

Tuesday Treasures
The shopping bug has bit me. I bought a new cellphone, some shoes, and Yesstyle is offering an EXTRA 15% off ALL shoes. Use the coupon code EXTRA15OFF at checkout to get the deal. I have to make sure I reign myself in. The end of March always brings sadness to my wallet because so many stores offer disounts.
J'ai fait des emplettes beaucoup. J'ai acheté un nouveau téléphone portable et les chaussures. YesStyle donne un rabais sur les chaussures. Le code est EXTRA15OFF. Je vais essayer de ne pas dépenser :)

Nexus S
Because of great promotion, I decided to get the Nexus S yesterday. So far I like it. It's easy to use, runs on android so it's very customizable and the camera/video are decent. On sale, it's a good purchase.
Cora's Surprise
Last weekend, my breakfast buddy and I went to Cora's again. Remember, we're going there until we try everything on the menu (excpet she ordered the same meal as last time). This time, I had Surprise! The meal is a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich on frenchtoast battered bread with a side, or rather mountain, of fruit. I was so hungry I gobbled it down quickly, but it was filling. The sandwich has a sweetness to it. Not too much, but you can notice it. Though it was not a great as some of the other options, it was tasty.

Thrifting my way to spring
Snow continues to fall from the heavens. While others speak of sunny skies and chirps from the morning robin, I'm still waiting for the weather to grant me some warmth. As I wait for spring to truly arrive here in my city, I thrift. I'm hoping mother nature will get the hint if I keep filling my drawers with springtime wear.
There are a number of thrift shops where I live, but there is one in particular that I think about first when I need something. These are my most recent purchases from there. I don't remember the exact price of the items, but I know that none of the items cost more than $5.00.

Tuesday Treasures
Today is a special day, but tomorrow is even more special because it is leap day and I love the 29th of February. It reminds me of my childhood and how it was Pochacco's birthday (a character created by saniro) I always wanted my birthday to be on that day simply because of how exciting it would feel to wait 4 years before you could celebrate your true birthday. Happy birthday to all the leapers, I hope your day is blessed.

Yesstyle Haul/Review. Pic Heavy.
Chictopia gave me a promocode for yesstyle.ca, and seeing as how I always wanted to buy items from there, I went on a shopping spree buying practically a new wardrobe from the site. My items came within about 2 weeks. The video below shows an unboxing of the items the day I recieved the package.
My experience with yesstyle was a pleasant one. All the items were true to their description. I was in fact surprised by how nice they looked in person and on. The only con (mostly due to my error) was yesstyle sent me two of the exact same belt. My invoice showed I ordered two, but I don't recall seeing two in my cart before my checkout. I know I had wanted another belt, but instead I recieved two of the same belt.
All my items fit well. Considering that mostly everything I bought was described as onesize, I was a bit nervous, but they all fit. I have tried to include links to all the items in the haul but everything was bought on sale so some of them may be sold out.
This was a set piece that came with a necklace. It is supposed to be baggy and is longer than expected. It can be worn as a mini dress.
I love this set piece. I was really nervous it would not fit but the elastic on the shorts makes it a good fit for those small-medium. The tights are warm and are better quality than more expensive tights I've bought. The belt is cheap and does not seem like it would last long, but it works with the set.
Very sheer, but pretty non the less, this dress is chiffon dress with a lace top sewn in. This picture distorts the color, but in person it is more of a light peachy pink.
This is the belt I recieved two of. I like it, but I wish I had caught that there were two in my cart.
This is possibly my favorite item. It is very warm and I love the pockets on the side.
The scarf on this top can be removed. This lets you wear it without a scarf, or add your own. I love the skirt and was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't as boxy as the photo on yesstyle appeared.
This bag is not made to last, but it is cute and I love the velvet feeling material combined with with the faux leather. The cloth material seems as if it would hold up, but the leather part is very cheap feeling and looking. While it looks medium sized, it carries a lot. My entire yesstyle haul fits in it! :)

Moments of my day Jan 8
I feel I go months without seeing my friends. Perhaps that's why the opportunity arises to see them I jump on it. This was a day of shopping for my friend and I. We grabbed some sushi to kill the hungry pains and then it was back to shopping and walking around, while I clipped random into my camera, in case my memory let me down. I have a video where I share the items I bought on this day.

A shopping we will go
You'd think I'd be all shopped out with all the shopping I did in December, but with all the sales and promos being in my path it's no wonder I've been filling my cart, online and off with lovlies. I've been trying my best to stay within budget despite my sudden shopping surge, and I've been paying attention, making sure to buy things I will cherish for quite some time, or need badly.
Because I've been stung by shopping bee, I'll most likely be doing a few posts similar to this where I showcase (show off?) items I've purchased.
The video shows and describes the items I bought for this paticular haul. One place I will be shopping more at are local asian shops. They always have cute items that suit my taste.

Moments from my day
There are times when I don't feel like compromising or waiting for a better day. Today was one of those days. I had an idea in mind of what I wanted from my day and decided to bring it forth. Sometimes your day dictates to you and sometimes you need to dictate to your day "this is how it's going to be!" My day listened.
I started by telling my day I wanted a thrifted mini backpack. My sister was kind enough to drive me out to the store and low and behold a Derek Alexander leather mini backpack was waiting for me. It was a steal at only 2 dollars. I also bought a long button down vest for $2.50. And my sister found a large stylish carpet bag for $4.00. Needless to say it was a good thrifting day.
I also decided today I was going to eat Mcdonalds. Without giving a care to nutrition or fat content, I indugled and felt very pleased about it. But while smiling at my meal, strawberry punch poured in my sister's car landing on my favorite trench. I guess it was my day's way of saying, "you can't have it all perfect." No bother. I'm too happy about the comment my professor left on my final paper to mind any spills and mishaps.
In fact I am posting her comment here, because I may never see a pleasant review of a graded work again. That and it may motivate me the next time I stress about a paper.
Dear Adelaide,
This is an excellent paper and a pleasure to read. I have pointed to certain sreas that could use more careful thinking and questioning; however, you have pulled together key contexts in evaluating the issue of individual rights and freedoms and the controls in place.
Best of luck in your future endeavours.

Interview with esty shop liloshop
Back in spring I featured a sweet looking charm bracelet from liloshop. Recently, I had the great opportunity to interview the owner of the shop Anna, and got a chance to learn what else this lovely lady does and what her plans with liloshop are.
Tell me a bit about yourself:
My name is Anna and I live, study and work in Vienna, Austria.
Apart from creating what else do you do?
I´m studying theatre, film & media sciences and I'm writing these days my master thesis about fashion videos “the shift from still to moving image. I’m also part of the organizing team of the Vienna fashioncamp (fashioncampvienna.blogspot.com/) which will take place on the 10th of September and is a one-day conference about the future of fashion, the change of communication, market and trend spreading.
What are your most cherished handmade items?
That´s a tough question! self-made or shopped? There are so many, but i think my vamoose sailor knot bracelett (hpunktanna.com/2010/05/26/sailor-knot/) and my grey knitted hat (hpunktanna.com/2009/10/14/shop-update/).
Where do you get your inspirations?
I love film noir movies and vintage photographies, through blogging i met so many talented people, they are also very inspiring to me!
What is your favorite summer look?
There is no special summer look I prefer, I love stripes, but not only in the summertime, but actually I got really addicted to the colour mint. Since the last 4-5 years mint is my must-have. I am also posting a mint thing of the day (hpunktanna.com/tag/mint-thing-of-the-day/) feature since June.
Where are your 3 of your favorite places to shop?
etsy, Austrian pop up stores and flea markets, I don´t like these big online shops.
What can you be found doing on a Saturday afternoon?
Thrifting or blogging ;)
How did you find out about etsy and what made you decide selling there?
The first time I heard about etsy, was probably on one of the diy blogs I read two years ago (saidos da concha saidosdaconcha.blogspot.com/). etsy is very user friendly and I really like the design of the surface and the network behind the shop.
How have your products changed since you started creating?
At the beginning I sold only handmade products, but in the last months I also started selling vintage clothes. I love thrift stores!
What are your future plans with liloshop?
I think I will concentrate on accessoires and I hope I will have more time for my handmade projects.
